At Empowering Others Preparatory, we uphold the highest standards of academic honesty and fairness for all students, including student-athletes. All coursework at EOP is NCAA-certified and fully compliant, ensuring student-athletes maintain eligibility while meeting rigorous academic standards.
Academic instruction, grading, and assessments are completely independent of athletics, and tutoring or academic support is provided equally to all students to reinforce independent learning. Any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
By maintaining integrity and NCAA-aligned standards, EOP prepares students to succeed academically, athletically, and personally, while protecting college eligibility and long-term opportunities.
NCAA Division I Age-Based Eligibility Rules: Eligibility 101
Understanding your Division 1 period of eligiblity.
Beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year, NCAA Division I has adopted a new eligibility model designed to simplify the participation process for prospective student-athletes. Under the new policy, eligibility is based on a single five-year eligibility period tied to a student's age and initial college enrollment. This streamlined approach replaces the previous system that tracked seasons of competition and included multiple sport-specific rules and waiver processes.
These changes provide a more straightforward and predictable pathway for student-athletes and their families while making eligibility requirements easier for coaches, compliance offices, and colleges to administer. At Empowering Others Preparatory (EOP), we remain committed to preparing our student-athletes academically and athletically while helping families navigate NCAA eligibility requirements with confidence. Our staff works closely with each student to ensure they understand the recruiting and eligibility process as they pursue opportunities to compete at the collegiate level.
